Application Support Engineer


The Application Support Engineer role monitors, diagnoses, debugs, and resolves technical issues in our SaaS environment. You are process driven with an acute eye for detail and be able to manage concurrent priorities while delivering to a high standard.


  • Work with customer support, production operations and developers to troubleshoot customer problems.
  • Debug complex software to identify bugs and recommend fixes to developers.
  • Work with the QA organization to test hot fixes and releases.
  • Use documentation to communicate across the organization.
  • Provides third level support and resolve issues related to installation, implementation, deployment, functionality and usage of all RSi products.
  • Delivers high quality solutions of technical expertise to level 2 support engineers.
  • Interacts with product development team and Engineering Group in identifying and resolving cases.
  • Conducts technical training and assistance to co-workers.
  • Maintains and expands working knowledge of all RSi products.



  • Master’s Degree in CS/Mathematics/Statistics/Engineering is preferred; will consider B.S. degree holders with substantial support experience.
  • 2-3 years of experience as a developer, QA or support engineer.
  • Highly organized, with an ability to prioritize time-sensitive assignments.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills and demonstrated ability to creatively solve complex problems.
  • Excellent SQL server knowledge - must have mastery of T-SQL.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Bi stack is a big plus.
  • Strong Data Warehouse background supporting terabyte of data.
  • Experience programming in Java, C# etc.
